The Buddy Walk was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to bring together a wide range of concerned
individuals to reach out to friends, family and co-workers to promote awareness and inclusion for people with Down Syndrome
and to raise funds for local and national education, research and advocacy programs.
Our Mission
October is National Down Syndrome Awareness Month.More than 200 Buddy Walks will occur throughout the United States.You
can go to www.BuddyWalk.org and find a walk in your area.We would like for everyone to support the National Down Syndrome
Awareness Month by wearing blue and yellow colors on your cars, trucks, suv's clothes etc.you can also purchase magnets
that help promote the awareness.

Organization News
We will be having our 2 Annual Buddy Walk on October 20, 2007 .The Buddy Walk is a one-mile walk in which anyone can
participate without special training.After the walk, you and your family will enjoy refreshments for everyone.The walk will
take place at the Wee Care Park in Defuniak Springs Florida.Children, young adults and adults with Down Syndrome,family
members, friends,healthcare professionals,corporate teams and members of the community -bring a wagon, a stroller ,a whellchair,etc..
All are welcome!
